I'm still surprised how hard the female Draco Malfoy went viral Hey everyone. All this time I've been working on new features. Most of them are built for goon-scrolling, but they can easily move over to the main app too. Please read the whole announcement. There are polls at the end and I really…

Hey everyone. The poll in the last announcement was clear: you want me to keep working on goon-scrolling. So that's now the main direction. For the past two weeks I've been focused on reworking the parts of the system that already exist on the current site. The core stays, but the interface is…

Hi everyone. There are polls at the end of this announcement. I recommend reading the whole thing first so you can vote with the full context. Everything listed here is what I'm thinking about and would like to build. It doesn't mean all of it is top priority. I just want you to see the full…

Hot summer, wasn't it? Hi everyone. Today I want to share some progress on the report system. The list of things you can report has grown: Posts Comments Playlists Users So now, instead of venting in the comments, you can just file a report. Report groups Before, every report landed in one big…

Hey everyone. I'm really glad I can write to you again. The site has been through all kinds of problems before, but this time was different. On August 13th, in the middle of the day, every single site suddenly went down without any warning. I checked my email right away and saw that my domain…

I was blushing the whole time I was making this video Hey everyone. I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time. I finally get to show you a new way of interacting with the site. From here on I'll write "app" instead of "site", because in terms of how you interact with it, it's much…

This is a minor update before a big one. People have been asking me for a long time to add shuffle to likes, playlists, and the main page. I've tried to build it a few times already, and trust me, this problem is a lot harder than it looks. A true shuffle needs either a lot of CPU, a lot of RAM, or…

Hey everyone. No major news or announcement today. I just want to fill you in on where things stand. The dark ritual I've finished building out a full IT infrastructure. I now have primary servers that host the sites and content, and standby servers that copy over the site's live data. That gives…

The incident begins Hey everyone. On the afternoon of May 18th (Monday) something nasty happened. All my servers went offline. Honestly, I had no idea what to do, so I spent the whole day hoping it was just my provider acting up and that it would sort itself out. The weird part was that the…

Hey everyone. I'm Sieghard — the creator of this site. This is the first post in the new announcements section, so it makes sense to start from the beginning. About 8 years ago I couldn't shake the idea of building my own rule34 site. The kind of site I'd actually want to use myself — fast…
