Bots, Linux, and a Fursona

TL;DR:
Got hit by a massive bot attack, dealt with it. Switched to Linux after years on Windows, no regrets. Finally made my fursona.
Hey @everyone. No major site updates today, just one small thing, but I wanted to share a few things from my personal life.
Bots
My sites got hit with another bot attack recently. I already had protection in place, but this one was different. It was a boss-level spammer, creating accounts from 50,000 different IPs simultaneously, which bypassed rate limiters entirely. I'd been thinking about adding a CAPTCHA for a while. Looks like that time has come. The attack has been dealt with. Each time something like this happens, the defense system gets a little better.
Linux
I've been a Windows user my whole life. Despite its flaws, it worked for me. I use my PC for work and gaming both. For the past few years I was on Windows 10, but Microsoft ended support for it in 2025. That left me with a choice: move to Windows 11 (bloated, laggy, broken, and spying on you) or finally grow a spine and switch to Linux. I sat on that decision for a long time, weighed everything back and forth, and eventually made my call. I chose Linux. No regrets. It felt like fresh air. I haven't felt this free in my own digital environment in a long time. I'm running Ubuntu on my laptop as a testing ground, and on my desktop I'm experimenting with a few Arch-based distros. So yeah, I'm now officially that guy. "I use Arch, btw"
Fursona
I mentioned before that I've been getting into AI image generation. I looked into running it locally, but my hardware isn't powerful enough for that, so I've been using online services. For now I'm happy with them. I'm also interested in NSFW generation eventually, but there's a time for everything. For now, I've finally put together my fursona: a full-body reference from multiple angles, so I can get consistent character generations going forward.
